Welcome!
Here you can find information on bio-based CO₂ removal methods in Germany.
In addition to reducing and avoiding greenhouse gas emissions, CO₂ removal from the atmosphere is a necessary
strategy to achieve climate neutrality in Germany by 2045. Climate neutrality means that there is a balance between
the emissions of CO₂ and other greenhouse gases and their removal from the atmosphere. In addition to reducing and

As part of the BioNET project, we have been working on CO₂ removal methods in the German context.
The methods have different potentials. Taken together, they can make an important contribution to climate
neutrality in Germany.
The range of possible CO₂ removal methods is shown here - from the areas of agriculture,
paludiculture, forest management, building materials and BECCS technologies.
